  • fstorm Bitmap alpha treatment

There is a very little thing that is different or missing compared to how standard bitmap treats alpha (RGBA) bitmaps. when we use standard bitmap in vray or scanline in instance mode in both diffuse and opacity we can turn on use alpha for mono channel output. So that diffuse take rgb and opacity take alpha though the nodes of both are instance.

If we could have this in fstorm also it would greatly save a lot of time to manually check this thing for models like trees bottles etc.

Thanks you very much great work as always

FStorm bitmap works differently. You have to set bitmap type to alpha in order to read alpha channel.

I understand that but suppose a scenario where there dozens of bottles with brand label and 50 types of trees with sub materials and have RGBA bitmap types applied It becomes a very difficult scenario.
      Thanks

attached 1.jpg shows vray render .

2.jpg shows once that is converted fstorm

If you look the trees the leaves show white colour and it is just because of this small alpha thing.
