  • AMD GPU support in the future?

I was thinking of getting a Radeon Pro WX 9100 as I use AutoCAD + 3dsmax and also get into FStorm. This card supports 10bit color output also which is good unlike the consumer grade Nvidia cards.

I read in the system reqs. that only Nvidia is applicable to FS.

Would this card work at all with a card like this?

FStorm uses CUDA so it's NVIDIA GPU's only.

      Thanks for that.

Seems like CUDA code could be easily translated and complied to run on AMD.

nothing is easily translated, believe me, even translating english to spanish takes some work, heck even translating english to more simple english takes some work, so I would stay clear of publications that make that sort of claims

another thing, if you are spending that kind of money, you should work with whatever is best at the time, with no excuses or arguments or promises, or what developers will do or can do or whatever, the money you are paying have real value right now, brand preference, etc. should come second, and as things goes, nvidia is the way to go, at least for now, and don't want to sound as a fanboy or nothing, the day amd starts to make more sense, I will do the jump more than happy, nvidia isn't paying me anyway

I wish but I don't think so I suggest you to use AMD ProRender If you want to buy a Radeon Pro WX 9100 graphics card.
