  • What is the best driver version?

Hi Karba, hi my friends, hi everyone,

according your experiences, what is the best driver version for 3ds Max 2020.1, with GTX1080 and latest FStorm (1.3.3a) ?

Currently installed 388.13, but minimal driver to exploit the OptixDenoiser from Arnold for Max 2020 is 390.xx.

Which one do you suggest me?
    Software: FStormRender: 1.5.0h | Drivers NV: 456.71 | 3dsMax: 2020.3 | Windows: 10 x64
    Hardware: Gpu: GTX1080 Phoenix GLH | Cpu: i7-2600k@4.5GHz | Ram: 16GB | SSD: Samsung 860 Pro

    Hi Sylk,
I have no problems with the most recent driver version (however it's on an RTX card).
    Win 10 64 bit

Hi Pavel St, thanks for anwser.

However, i also have an old GTX570 Phantom as secondary GPU, for manage display and keep out viewport lag during RT rendering and so on. Unfortunately, the latest driver supporting this card is the 391.35 so i can't install higher versions, otherwise i'll lose this advantage.

The new "Studio" drivers (oppositing to Game Ready drivers) seem interesting, but does the perf gain really compensate a secondary "display dedicated" GPU ?

      EDIT:
NVidia lie to us : 391.35 installed -> my gtx570 disappears from my system! WTF!!
